OOTD:Kids Fashion Edition

Am I the only one who despise the parents who doesn't make sure their kids go out in public looking decent, the parents who let their kids dress themselves and the outcome is a yellow top with purple pants? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who feels this way. Also, I've noticed kids dressed up nicely but it lacks youthfulness as if the parents have utilized these kids as a human mannequin . Anyways this post is an ootd that illustrates that kids can look decent with simple pieces of clothing. For boys they should always own at least one button down shirt in their closet and a pair a shoes that goes with almost anything. For girls skirts are essential in your closet . Since it is the fall , mothers don't be scared to pair skirts with boots . Combat boots or cowgirl boots look adorable with skirts. A special shout out to Shannon and Kai for being my personal models for a day.

Cheetah Print VS. Leopard Print

So it seems a lot of us doesn't know the difference between cheetah and leopard . If you're like me you just call both prints cheetah print lol. Anyways your confusion ends here!

Cheetah print 

           cheetah spots are the solid black dots

Leopard print

leopard spots are called rosettes, they are more of a cluster of black spots with a dark brown spot in the middle

LIPSTICK 101: red lippie edition

Hi guys I'm super obsessed with lipstick so I decided to add lipstick 101 where you'll learn about the latest color trends (for your lips of course) ,lipstick tips, & more. So let's get right into it! I know a lot of you guys are pretty scared of [dramatic pause] the classic red lip! Just keep calm guys it's not a horror film all it takes is the right shade for you skin tone.

Cool Toned Reds = blue based reds
These work best for my ladies with cool rosy like undertones !

Fav cool tone lipstick:

Side note: I have to mix these with other lipsticks to make it look decent on me because I'm not cool toned

Warm Toned Reds = yellow based reds (red-orange) 

These work best for yellow undertones! So for my ladies with a beige or medium skin tone this is for you . Tip* btw you can wear pretty much any red ;) lucky you! 

Future warm tone lipstick :

ughh I look at makeup tutorials on this lipstick everyday and still have yet to purchase it but just wait I'll get it soon! 

Deep Reds = plums & wine reds 
These work best for darker skin tones since brighter reds can come off as harsh! But in all honestly I think my hot chocolate ladies can get away with a warm orange red with a brown lip liner and you'll be good to go!

Side note: I wear these in the winter since I'm a yellow undertone but for my dark tones knock yourself out!

Neutral Reds = lies b/t cool & warm 

So your wondering where am I going with this right? Well... Lol ;) pretty much any and everyone can rock the neutral red! It's pretty much a true red not too bright not too dark. No pink tints or orange.

Side note: seriously you're crazy if you don't own this already. For fair skin use red lip liner medium/dark use brown lip liner . This lipstick is pretty matte so if you're not a fan of matte use a moisturizing balm before applying .

Bringing 50's Back Perhaps? OOTD

I don't know if it's just me but the fashion between the 1950s-1990s are so timeless !  Check out Andrea (@177issy_pooh) and her twist on a modern day Betty . Tip* Polka dots = Fun and Youthful . Andrea chose this skater dress drenched with polka dots and added a slight edge with her converse ,layered necklaces and money sign earrings. Yuss lol I live for those earrings guys! Lets not forget about the modern pinup hairstyle. She chose effortless curls and topped the entire look off with a classic red lip! Tip* ladies anyone can rock a red lip you just have to find the right shade for YOUR skin tone! Hmmm maybe that'll be my next post ;)  just wait on it!

Cool Streetwear OOTD [Jogger Pants]

                   

Everyone has their personal preferences on "streetwear" but in all honesty it's just what's currently happening on the streets. It also consists of anything comfortable *hint hint the jogger pants* as well as hip hop and skateboarder styles. Whether your closet is full of anything urban or vans I'm 98.6% sure you own a pair of chic joggers such as the ones Glendez is wearing. For those who don't own a pair grab some at forever21 , urban outfitters, karmaloop etc. they're super stylish and comfy.

Fourth of July OOTD

Hi guys so instead of wearing the typical red white & blue, Kimani went for a different route with her contemporary styled outfit. She added a slight edge with her not so basic crop top and aztec printed skirt. *tip*if you want the perfect fourth of July outfit add a hint of red white OR blue. Kimani chose to go with a pastel blue.

Color Blocking 101

 

Hi guys so color blocking is trending again and its the perfect fashion statement for this season. Color Blocking is when an outfit or garment contains various blocks of color. I know you guys are wondering how do I know what colors to use? well below are a few tips to use when coming up with a color scheme.

*Color Scheme Tips*

Complimentary. colors directly opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green or blue and orange. When you guys combine these colors in the right proportions it produces white light. 

Analogous. colors that sit beside each other on the color wheel with one dominant color in the middle and two on the sides that are complimentary.

Monochromatic. this is a great one because you don't have to look at  your color wheel lol all you do is utilize one color throughout your outfit but in different hues.

 I love these shorts so much that I squeezed into them this morning! I couldn't breathe half the time at work but beauty is pain so whatever. Anyways this is my take on the hipster look. For you guys who don't know what a hipster is they're free-spirited people who tend to stray away from everything mainstream and would generally prefer a vintage piece over a current trend.
